Your route by car in Andalusia direct to the sea

Let's start talking about those towns that are right on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea and that you can't miss.

Nerja

Nerja is known throughout Spain as the setting for the popular Spanish TV series "Verano Azul". Nerja has beautiful streets that you must visit and of course, you must see the famous Balcon de Europa, this is a beautiful viewpoint at the edge of the sea where everyone must have their picture taken.

You should also try the fantastic gastronomy of this town. On the Balcón de Europa itself you will find the restaurant 'Rey Alfonso', all surrounded by glass windows that will allow you to enjoy the views during your meal.

Marbella

It is a town known both nationally and internationally for being a favourite holiday destination for people from all over the world. But, although we may think that Marbella is a place dedicated to the elite of society, nothing could be further from the truth!

In Puerto Banús, if you wish, you can find exclusivity. But, if you want to live a unique experience, we advise you to walk through the streets of the old town of Marbella.

If you go to Marbella you also have to walk along the promenade where you can find beautiful palm trees. There you can enjoy a drink (only if you are not going to drive afterwards, if not a soft drink!) in any of its beach clubs.

Torremolinos

It is a gay destination for excellence and this town is known for its party nights. But Torremolinos is much more. This town has many family beaches, a wide range of restaurants and a 50's tourist atmosphere that gives it a special charm.

Torremolinos has buildings as curious and emblematic as the Aladdin Bazaar, which is a boat-building constructed in 1953 by the architect Fernando Morilla.

This destination conquered stars such as Ava Gardner, Kirk Douglas, Frank Sinatra or Sofía Loren... Are you going to miss it?

Route by car in Andalusia inland Andalusia

On the Costa del Sol there are villages which, although they do not have a beach, you can enjoy wonderful views of the sea.

Frigiliana

A few minutes by road from Nerja, the charm of Frigiliana is divided between its streets and its impressive views of the sea from the mountains, at the foot of the Natural Park of the Sierra de Tejada, Almijara and Alhama.

A charm that has been shaped throughout history: of Moorish origin, over the years its streets have also been inhabited by Jews and Christians. This tradition is celebrated in its annual festival 'Frigiliana 3 Culturas'.

Mijas Pueblo

The municipality of Mijas is divided between Mijas Pueblo and Mijas Costa. The village is situated at the foot of the mountains, 430 metres above sea level, which gives it one of the most beautiful sea views of all that your route by car in Andalusia has to offer.

This village is made up of typical Andalusian whitewashed houses and has several places to visit: from the small bullring, its Contemporary Art Centre or its Museum of Miniatures in a curious wagon.

Mijas is ideal for lunch or dinner in some of its restaurants with incredible viewpoints too.
