Three nudist beaches in Malaga
| Beach | Town | Highlights |
|---|---|---|
| Las Alberquillas and El Pino | Nerja (Maro) | Wild coves near the Maro cliffs, great for snorkelling |
| Almayate | Vélez-Málaga | Malaga's longest nudist beach, about 2.8 km |
| Costa Natura | Estepona | Home to Spain's first official naturist resort |
Las Alberquillas and El Pino, Nerja
Near the Maro cliffs, these secluded coves have a wild, rugged feel. They are popular with divers thanks to their seabed full of seaweed, molluscs and fish. Access is on foot, which keeps them quiet.
Almayate
About 2.8 km long and 30 metres wide, Almayate is considered the longest nudist beach in Malaga. It is almost untouched, surrounded by farmland, and well known among naturists in Spain. It is easy to reach by car.
Costa Natura, Estepona
This 400-metre beach is home to Costa Natura, historically Spain's first official naturist resort. A relaxed, quiet and private place.
Three dog beaches in Malaga
Andalusian rules on dog beaches are quite strict, but some towns have designated areas for dogs. Rules and opening seasons can change, so check with the local town hall before you go.
Fuengirola dog beach
A fairly quiet beach of about 800 metres with fine sand and easy access by car or on foot.
Piedra Paloma, Casares
One of the first dog beaches in the province, reopened after legal disputes with the regional government.
Arroyo de Totalán
Between Malaga city and Rincón de la Victoria, this pebbly cove is rarely used by bathers, so it has been authorised for dogs.
Tips for your beach day
- Respect naturist areas and other bathers' privacy.
- On dog beaches, keep your dog under control and clean up after it.
