What are the best motorcycle routes in Malaga?
Motorbike route on the Sierra de las Nieves
Difficulty: Medium.
Sierra de las Nieves is a natural park located between different municipalities such as Tolox, Casarabonela, Ojén or Ronda, and is one of the most beautiful motorbike routes we can choose in Malaga.
It´s obvious that it is not possible to circulate through it because is a natural park but we can surround it. The area will offer you a lot of tight curves, ups and downs, in addition to a wonderful landscape from the different villages.
The most recommended way to start this route is from Marbella. However, you have to be quite careful with these roads. Despite there is no traffic on them, they are old and many of them do not have crash barriers, so there are some ravines without protection.
Motorbike route on the Costa del Sol
Difficulty: low.
We suggest you a comfortable experience with this motorbike route through Malaga that will amaze you.
If you like the beach more than the mountains, this route is for you. We will travel through Nerja, Torrox-Costa, Rincón de la Victoria. If you want to start the route from the end, from Malaga Capital, you can start it from the Ciudad Jardín highway.
This motorbike route by the coast is very quiet, as we do it by highway. We recommend you to stop in the nearby villages, to discover the interesting places they have to visit.
If you decide to park the bike, you´ll discover a different route near the beach called Ruta del Sol y del Aguacate in the Rincón de la Victoria. It has wonderful and panoramic views of the sea. This pathway crosses through cliffs, from which you will be able to watch wonderful sunsets and enjoy the marvellous solitude of this place.
If you decide to go to Nerja, you can´t forget to visit its famous Balcón de Europa, a place with incredible sea views.
Motorbike route through Los Montes de Malaga
Difficulty: Medium
If you like the mountains, Los Montes de Malaga is a very easy point to access as it is very close to the city centre. We can get lost in their roads. This route will start here and it will be finished in a perfect place: Antequera.
Passing through La Fuente de la Reina, we will enter los Montes de Málaga Natural Park. Then, we will go by highway to Colmenar towards Antequera, passing through Villanueva de la Concepción.
It´s also a good idea to have lunch in one of the restaurants of the mountains, so that you can try typical dishes of Los Montes. Arriving in Antequera, and finishing this motorbike route through Malaga, you can enjoy the landscape of La Peña de los Enamorados, a rock whose shape is the face of a woman lying down. The Malaga hiking route will not leave anyone indifferent.
